Taylor Unveils Taylor Print & Packaging: A Strategic Consolidation to Serve Customers Better
FRIDLEY, MINN. (Dec. 23, 2024) – Taylor has announced the launch of Taylor Print & Packaging (TP&P), a newly consolidated operation formed by bringing together the strengths of Travel Tags and Taylor-Fridley. Located in Fridley, MN, TP&P will officially begin operations under its new name on January 1, 2025, delivering enhanced services and expanded capabilities to its customers.
A Strategic Move to Optimize Resources
The consolidation of Taylor’s Inver Grove Heights and Fridley facilities represents a $6 million investment in capital and talent. This strategic move streamlines operations, reduces duplicative capabilities, and allows TP&P to deliver a robust portfolio of products, including folding carton packaging, direct mail and commercial print services. Additionally, the Fridley facility will serve as a Taylor center of excellence for the production of gift cards, secure print and lenticular print, solidifying its role as a leader in these high-value categories.
Enhanced Customer Experience
The newly consolidated Fridley facility is designed with the customer in mind:
-
Increased Production Efficiency: A fully staffed three-shift operation will reduce lead times and better address seasonal demand peaks.
-
New Equipment Investments: The addition of an 8-color UV press, advanced folding and gluing equipment, and enhanced die-cutting technology will drive greater capacity and precision.
-
Innovative Product Development: A dedicated product development team with full-color prototyping capabilities will enhance solutions for folding cartons, gift card carriers and POP/POS displays.
-
Technology-Driven Improvements: Automated proofing, quality systems, and order entry technologies will accelerate production processes and enhance quality control.
A Customer-Centric Vision
“The consolidation of Inver Grove Heights and Fridley is a strategic decision that optimizes resources and allows us to focus on our core competencies,” said Mike Robinson, Group President. “This, in turn, will enhance our offering to Taylor customers on many levels. By uniting our capabilities under one roof, we’re positioned to provide faster turnaround times, greater capacity and the innovative solutions our customers expect.”
Robinson added, “We’re eager to put the expanded capabilities of our consolidated Fridley operation to work for our customers’ brands. This move is about showing up bigger, smarter and more connected on their behalf.”
